Hi all,
I have seen a KM440 for sale but I can't find any information on whether this is a good model or not.
I'd be grateful if someone can shed some light on it.
Cheers

Sure - Kenwood Chefs are pretty reliable all round.
Does it have to be a new machine? Second-hand ones are extremely robust, and there are some bargains to be had on ebay if you buy carefully, though obviously, weight is a factor as posting can add to costs. If you do a search for one near to you and consider local pick-up you could be onto a winner. The later electronic models are generally fine too, but the older mechanical models are very fixable if something does go wrong, if you have someone in the house who is good at these type of things! Careful not to get drawn into a bidding war, as sometimes they go for ridiculous money - and, like buses, ther'll be another three along in a minute.Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -
It was a local second hand one on ebay.
It's gone now though :-(

Oh well - the mechanical ones are a good buy, IMO, because you can fix them if something goes on them!
Have PM'd you - but you're definitely looking in the right place!Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0
