Ordered one this morning but just got a telephone call saying that they were all sold out and my order had been cancelled.

Ordered two of these for xmas presents at about 8.15am.

Got a call this morning to say that they had oversold and my order had been cancelled. They said it was an end of line product, no more stock coming and they couldnt offer me a substitute product! :mad:

They have refunded my card (which I thought they were not meant to charge until the goods had been dispatched??)

Anyway thanks OP, but I seem to have missed this one. Anyone know any good deals on a cheap basic camera? I have brought one before from the Kodak clearance/refurb shop but it died within 6mths.

As per my above thread, I ordered two as xmas presents and missed out due to their "stock system"

On viewing a similar thread on UKHD's sme people were being offered this one...

I called them and the guy insisted that they did not have any (of the better model) left in stock. I mentioned that they were showing as in stock at this very moment on their website. He said "well they will be coming off the website soon". He mentioned that hey had put some aside and offered to those people who had originally ordered the camera earlier on (i.e. after they had just run out of stock). I asked him if he was sure if there was none left, he went back and checked and what do you know, they had ONE left.

I think that they DO have stock of the better ones, but you have to be insistent and they will likely offer you one at the same price.

Now all I need to decide is which one of my brother or sister misses out this xmas on a new camera!

I emailed them yesterday asking for an alternative camera but none was offered just a refund & an apology.

Due to the price of the item the influx of orders was much higher than our system could cope with. As you will have seen from our website there are no alternatives of a similar price. I have issued a refund along with our apologies to have caused any disappointment

They need to get a better "system" in place IMO :mad: :mad: :mad:
