i organise a peoples parade every year through edinburgh, all are welcome with a love of scotland. this years parade is gathering at edinburgh castle esplanade at 4pm for a 4.30 march off down the royal mile to parliament park. the stockbridge pipe band will lead the parade, and there will be short speeches and a few songs at the end. this is free!! my favourite price.
this is a non political ordinary peoples march open to all people with a love of scotland. bring the weans, and bring a saltire.

Read somewhere that this year there is free entry to Edinburgh Zoo as well? Can anyone confirm this?
Also keep a look out for Outlook (the free council newsletter /propaganda sheet) which comes through your letterbox or is dumped at the bottom of your tenement stairs somewhere. (You can also find it in libraries). Last year and the year before the issue which comes out around this time of year had a voucher for free entry to Edinburgh castle for up to 4 people which was valid for 1 use anytime between November and the end of March.
Here is the info from last year - it was in the Winter issue which should come out soon?

The Zoo are expecting to be very busy so best get there early, we intend going in the morning provided the weather is kind so if anyone else is planning on visiting please do post and perhaps we can meet and have a coffee/hot chocolate.0 -
Went to Edinburgh Castle today with my nieces and it was brilliant. Although it was obviously busy, there is enough room for everyone.
I also went to the thing in West Princes Street Gardens and thoroughly recommend you go tomorrow (Sunday). Story telling, painting faces, all in a temporary marquee. Lots of Scottish freebies, flags, ballons, key rings and good woollen hats !****************************0
