Hello - Just a quickie. My fav nail varnish has gone very sticky & tacky. I am loathe to throw it out (prob will have to). What do you mix it with to get another coat or 2 - is it remover? Sorry not strictly os but I know someone will know.
Many thanks

Popping a few drops of nail polish remover into the bottle and shaking it well should get another coat or two out of it.Sanity is the playground of the unimaginative!0

or you cansumerge the bottle into some hot (not boiling) water, this loosens the varnish, good shake & its good as new, this works with mascara aswell when it goes all dry..
it was on lorraine kelly a few weeks ago & ive tried both.

trouble is ,putting nail varnish remover in can make it that it wont set so a drip at a time and shake really well between drips0

I usually buy a bottle of cheap clear nail varnish. The cheaper ones are usually runnier. Add some of this to your sticky nail varnish, shaking it well, until the consistency is right. This works brilliantly - I recently ressurected a bottle of Mary Quant (remember her?) that I bought in the 70's!!!
Re: adding remover - a chemist once told me that this is very bad for your nails, so I have never done it - and I have very long, extremely tough nails."Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718

Isn't keeping nail varnish in the fridge also supposed to keep it useable? I don't know if I've imagined hearing this as I haven't tried it myself.Did owe £9,951.96
