Kaz I dust then polish then hoover too-my mum always said when working on horizontal surfaces work from top to bottom (shelves and tables etc) so as dust goes to the bottom to be collected at the end. When working on vertical surfaces work from bottom to top (walls, fridge doors etc) otherwise if you start at top water drips dirty streaks down the bottom and you have to clean twice where if you go from the bottom then as you get higher up its started drying lower down already so you can use smaller arm movements.I hope it makes sense to you-it never made sense to me then but since flylady it does:)0

I damp dust, allow to settle then vacuum, top down not bottom up for me Each to their own.
Thanks for my hugs, feeling a bit sorry for myself as it's very sore and hothave pain relief now!
pigpen please can we have peoples usernames on the list somewherehope your day improves, big hugs for you and the kids, RIP little bunny
SM good luck!
Newbis welcome
Need to get myself moving, however slowly it might be so will have to show some commitment, instead of a whopper list going to write a smaller list then do a HHC to get them done, see if that works better for me today as there is so much I need to do, might break it down a bit
Next HHC 12.30-1pm (changed to join others) I will
Washer/dryer switch and hang on airers what can't go in then refill washer
Empty the cupboard I need to reorganise so I can put coffee stuff in it
Wash the cupboard out properly and organise the top of it/wipe over
Sort through the tablets from that cupboard
Sort through the first aid stuff from that cupboard
Sort through light bulbs and batteries from that cupboard, find the ones I need for bulbs which have popped (5 I need and hoping will have some)
Sort through anything else I find and rehome to where it belongs (as it should only contain the above)
Put everything back properly (so it doesn't become an open quick and catch what falls out cupboardlike it is now)
One day I might be more organised...........

I have tidied the last 3 chocolate digestives into my tummy and put the wrapper in the bin. I have tidied the last bit of milk into a nice hot mug of Earl Grey for me.

Polka 'horrible cravings'????
Hi everyone, :hello: and especially WELCOME to all newbies, we seem to have quite a few just recently!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've walked the pooch, popped to the shops to buy flowers and cookies for my lovely neighbour who's just had a hip replacement. Had coffee with her, but still haven't had breakfast...... very very bad, as it's now lunchtime.
So, I"m going to make some lunch, and deal with the kitchen while I'm doing it....
So, my list is:
DW... unload and reload
WM... unload and reload
TD ... unload and reload
BM
S&S surfaces
Get lunches ready for tomorrow so I'm ahead for a change!
Eat
Brew coffee
Put dinner together.
Back in a bit to cross off all of that!!!
ETA: Pigpen.... sorry about the bunny! and yes, I'd leave my 11 yr old for a short time. (I do, she's very sensible too!)MMSSB Club Founder Member
Sounds about right to me. Though I must admit I prefer my tea without milk! :rotfl:I've tidied a bar of chocolate into my tummy, and now feel a bit icky. I don't even like chocolate that much any more, so I don't know why I ate it. Anyway, I've had a :coffee: and must go and carry on vaccing, dusting and tidying.
