How do I prep a honey pomelo?

Very true. Though I am naughty and occasionally have some, always the opposite end of the day from my meds.
Sadly I LOVE pomelo and grapefruit.Put the kettle on.0 -
Ha-ha! I too had the same idea when I saw this in the shop - as others posters in this thread - of thinking it was a melon! This was helped by the fact that it looks like a big round yellow 'honeydew melon', & the label had the similar name of "honey pomelo".
I saw this just before Christmas (in Lidl, needless to say!).
So I was VERY surprised to find when I cut it open (though I should have realised this as it was far softer to cut than a sturdy melon!) it looked just like a GIANT grapefruit! :-D
Tasting it, it was nice & sweet, so less 'sharp' than a grapefruit.
Sadly, the resident in the house with high-chol has had to avoid it, as they are on statin tablets (see: Does grapefruit affect my medicine?).
WHAT a lovely new fruit to find. Good old Lidl etc.: always introducing fruits we had never heard of! :-DAPennySaved
Money, money, money . . . !

I tried one of those for the first time last year. I paid more than that for it though, next time I should go to Lidl!:D0

Not quite new, I remember them being introduced back in the 80's when I was a produce manager for Sainsburys0
