Buchanan Clark and Wells

Hi folks
After spending all weekend wading through my finances and paperwork I've come to a letter from Buchanan Clark and wells claiming I owe them £3,070.99 - I've never actually had a Barclay card up until quite recently and so far I haven't used it.
I did have an account with Barclays when I was a student (so 10 years ago)
I've read up on this debt collecting company and they seem to be a bunch of charlatans - what really makes me suspicious is that they've used the wrong middle name for me! perhaps this debt is someone else's?
I need to send the letter asking for CCA but I can't seem to find a template anywhere and I don't want to get it wrong and end up acknowledging someones Else's debt as my own!
any ideas?

Hi,
I'm presuming you didn't abandon any debt with barclays in the student account and this demand is in relation to a Barclaycard you say you've never had.
They need to prove it and a CCA request should do just that.
Look through this link and there should be something that you need:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=963087
You should be able to modify a standard CCA letter by inserting 'I do not acknowledge any debt to your company' at the top.
If you've sufficient time have you thought about calling National Debtline on 0808 808 4000 for advice?0
