I am looking to buy a house to use as for holiday lets only. Cost about £200K. Wanting to know a) would purchase be allowable under property SIPP and b) who provides the most cost effective SIPP for this level of investment?

No it wouldn't - only commerecial property is allowed in Sipps, holiday lets don't qualify.Trying to keep it simple...

if your looking at buying a holiday home it may actually be possible, currently you can look at buying a hotel room or part of a commercial complex, as long as the seller can clearly demonstrate that they you are in fact buying into a development. There are many companies who currently set u//p this kind of structure. One being Harlequin properties, they specifically target the SIPP market, You end up owning a swanky property in the Caribbean, but you can not use the property for your own use which is a bit dissapointing.
I have a list of companies somewhere which have been approved for SIPP use, if anyone is interested PM me0 -
