Halifax reduced rates :0)

Options
Hi I have not posted here before but we are remortgaging and just had a look on Halifax who we have our currant mortgage with and to remortgage wih them its 5.99% on 95% ltv for 10 years and 6.14% on 95%ltv for 5years both with £999 fee, does this sound good? We want to go for a fixed rate so we know what we are paying each month. Thanks

I think you'll find these rates have been climbing steadily, but it's certainly worth the peace of mind. We fixed for 5 years in May with Halifax for 5.54% and a couple of weeks ago someone on here fixed for 5.89% for 5 years.

At 95% I very much doubt you'll do any better - also if you were to look at other lenders there's a huge probability that your house would be downvalued, i.e. putting your LTV above 95%.
