HFC - help and advise needed

Hello folks,

I have been on a DMP for 12 months now and despite HFC never sending me a letter to say so they have been accepting the reduced payments on my loan account.

I recieved a letter this week following my annual review with payplan from HFC stating that they will only accept the plan for another 3 months; at which point I will be over the maximum period allowed for arrears.

As anyone else had a smimilar situation with HFC?

What will they do next? They have hinted that they can re-look at accepting lan for longer or passing to a debt agency who will accept the same payment plan.

I am just scared having read other posts that they will go straight to court and get a charging order.

Any experiences or advice shared will be a appreciated.

Comments

  • Anyone at all got any experience of this from HFC?
  • even if HFC are saying you need to increase payments, there is nothing they can do about it if you don't. They may well pass it to a collection agency. But it won't go to court as long as payments from your debt management agency are still making payments to them. So, no need to worry just tell them to deal direct with the debt agency.
