Who sell good value PC's?

Now that both my 2 boys are getting to an age where they want to play games on the computer I want to get a desktop to save them dropping my precious laptop.

I'd like to spend a around £350 to get a basic computer, but one decent enough that we don't have to upgrade in 12 months. They will only be using it for going on the internet on the Disney websites and what not and I'll more than likely use it as a main storage point for my photos and music. No heavy gaming or anything.

I've had a look at the usual suspects and found a few things that are tempting me but was wondering if you guys know of any other sites that aren't as common.

Cheers xx

Ebuyer and Misco I recommend both highly, good after sales, extensive product knowledge and good value for money.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Really you can get one from anywhere, i would just avoid named like "e machines" and "acer" as their technical support is terrible.

Regardless of where you buy it, Misco or Ebuyer arent the ones that will be providing you backup or technical support, or warranty for that matter, they will tell you to ring the manufacturer direct.

If that fails, look at dell, they have good warranty repairs, and theyre even cheaper if you go to www.dell.co.uk/outlet and get a brand new machine from there (basically they are prebuild cancelled orders from customers)

This is true however they are very helpful when something does go wrong unlike some of the "Joke shops" around ;)

This is also true however they usually do all the leg work on your behalf, I personally approved these suppliers for use by my company. Tried and trusted for many years.

:) unfortunatly end users only want good support, they dont really care about the cheapest price.

    Each to their own :)

The guys on this forum give me all the tech support I need so I'm not bothered about that :D

I forgot all about misco and ebuyer  I'll have a look there now.

Ebuyer are cheap but not on everything. Scan near you are also good. Novatech are my favourites for barebones

This looks pretty much ok, but never heard of zootech  Also wondering about the basic vista being installed but comes with premium, is that for me to install?

Will have a look at novatech, never heard of them before.

Cant go to far wrong with a dell for a value pc either.

Your get much better technical support then most if it goes wrong as well.
