    I dont send many texts from the net but a while back o signed up to the free ones on the O2 website if memory serves me right you only get 30 a month but htey are reliable and you dont have to be an O2 customer.

    I think it's only 10 free a month now. You can buy texts as well and they work out cheaper. I use to use them regularly when you had 30 free text but not so much now.

    Does anybody know if any of these sites allow the TV voting type texting service ?

    Where the number is not a UK mobile phone but a 5 digit number (I think they always start with 8) like the one for BBC 5 Live - 85058

    I tried with CBFSMS but you get an "Invalid number" error saying "Please check the number that you have entered, all UK mobile numbers start with 447 and are exactly 12 digits long."

    then it was 300 payg, 500 website

    then 300 payg, 300 website

    all the way down.........

    most probably not, as these are premium rate texts. anyway, the free text sites wouldnt make money off these as the recipient is a business.
