1 year left on Mortgage after 3 year discount ends

Options
What is the best option if you have 1 year left on a 4 year mortgage after a 3 year discount comes to an end. The amount owing will be around £8K. Should I look for another mortgage deal with another lender (arrangement fees !!!) or pay the SVR with the existing lender. I am also looking at the possibility of paying the balance with an existing credit card cheque (if this is possible) then transferring this to another credit card on 0% int free. Would this be a good idea ?

Look at the difference in rates between a deal and the SVR, applied to a debt of £8000. I doubt it will be enough to cover any fees. If you can pull it off to transfer to a 0% credit card, then it may be worth while, but you could end up with more grief if you can't pay it off than if you stayed with a mortgage.
After the uprising of the 17th June The Secretary of the Writers Union
Had leaflets distributed in the Stalinallee Stating that the people
Had forfeited the confidence of the government And could win it back only
By redoubled efforts. Would it not be easier In that case for the government
    To dissolve the people
    And elect another?
