Hi Mikey,
Sadly you will get plenty of opinion on here and often little assistance or helpful advice.
Please contact the Consumer Credit Advisery Service. they are a charity and will asssit you correctly. Secondly, I would find a parachute bank account if you can and move across to them if you need to. Thirdly, I would get the loan agreement with Welcome looked at to see if it is challengeable. The majority of their agreements I have seen are.
Questions I would need answering to advise you further.
How did you get the loan? did you use a broker?
did you take out ppi with it?
when did you take it out?
just that information is enough to give an informed opinion of your chances.
I would also have to see a copy of the agreement.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.
However, I have since seen the light.0 -

Im sure you can just get the card replaced, tell the bank it doesnt swipe, its been damaged, etc and you want a new card.
The number on the middle changes when a new card is issued.
As to the DD details, inform the bank you want to cancel the direct debit, and that no payment is to be made to them whatever.
The deal with welcome finance by cheque or BACS0 -
So am I wrong to go into a debt management plan with Firststep, the company I have chosen to help me out of this mess,
Hi Michael,
the problem with companies which do DMPs is that they take a huge chunk of the money you pay to them as fees, rather than it going to the people you actually owe money to.
Please do have a look at the debt-free wannabee on this board. There are charities which do DMPs, and they don't charge you for it....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
YOu can cancel your card say it has been stolen or lost and the long 16 digit number will change on your card and that is the number that welcome will use to collect from your account. Once this has changed Welcome will not be able to dip into your account,0
