cloud_dog wrote:Ok, so either I'm missing something or they've changed the offer (slightly). Ican get the laptop down to £339 but then they insist on charging me £60 delivery. Is there an additional code / coupon that needs to be entered to get free delivery, as the payment page is still quoting £398.

I'm trying to get one too. I'm in the small business section, the update price page gives me "£289 VAT & Shipping NOT included"
Any ideas if its me or them?
** EDIT**
If you progress to the basket the free delivery come in. Doh!0 -
90 day warranty, 15 inch screen, better battery, free delivery.
Comes to £386.00 Is that correct? Some of the earlier posts appeared like it was £339 for these specs but maybe for 14"
Just want to get it right before I pay up0 -
Just spotted this post - looks good but did the first offer come with double memory as I noticed they're offering that one some of their laptops at the mo??
I'd love a laptop but can't decide wether to go for this one or wait and see what the January sales bring!!!0 -

Was the standard 256mb on the original offer. You'd really need to upgrade this for Windows XP though as it runs like a dog with 256mb IMHO.EGG are a bunch of complete bankers!0 -
According to the site the 1300 has easy access for upgrading memory so if anyone decides to upgrade it, it shouldn't be too difficult.0

The Original £339 price was with 14" screen and standard battery, the 15" screen added £30 and the other battery £10 (before vat)
Regarding other queries, the original spec was this
Intel Celeron M 1.4GHz
256MB RAM
40GB Hard Drive
8X DVD+/-RW Drive with Software
802.11b/g Mini PCI Wireless LAN Card
14.1" WXGA (1280x800) LCD Panel
Windows XP
The only change as pointed out earlier is that with the new code there is a cd-rw/dvd and not a dvd writerWelcome, rogerramjet.

Hi All
Many thanks for this thread - bought one yesterday with the larger screen but not the better battery (will always be at home anyway).

As far as I can see this is no longer available now....the evalue code (305 N12135b) still exists, but it no longer qualifies for free shipping.
Bit of a pain, I ordered 2 of these last Sunday (with the free shipping), but for some reason the order didn't completed in Dell's system.0
