Saturday 18/10/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I will:
  • Clicks
  • check online banking
  • storecupboard lunch and tea
  • make a loaf in breadmaker
  • make some flapjacks in remoska
  • Clean house with stardrops and microfibre cloths
  • Buy some bargain veggies from the market today:D
  • drop off a bag of stuff at charity shop whilst in town.
  • drop off some energy saving lightbulbs I got free to a fellow mse'r as she also lives near town.
  • Put some petrol in car while it has now dropped to 99.9p, and I am down to fumes;)
  • go for swim and jacuzzi
good morning gang :D Woo Hoo it's the weekend:j :j I love Saturdays :j Off to town this morning with my friend, today I will be mostly buying veggies and socks;) and not much else hopefully - my live on £4000 budget is getting low:eek: .
Hope you all have a great day - the sun is shining here today although it is still quite cold,.

Welcome to any new posters:D it's a bit mad in here but we are nice really:p

Morning all! A nice brisk sunny day here up north so far....

    Today I have/will...
    • Eat store cupboard/freezer meals
    • Walk to tesco to get 45 Euros changed back to Sterling to use as cash for the week to stop me getting more out of the cashpoint - alreay done got £33.80 in return but gave the Macmillan collectors outside the spare 80p
    • Change small tub of pennies into voucher for MrT shopping - got £3.50ish - not much but it all helps
    • Do washing and put it out on the line to try to dry soem while the suns out
    • Clean house
    • Stay in tonight with Dvd and bottle of wine
    • Find cheapest place - heard about the 99p price - to put petrol in
    • Phone mum on land line (free) rather than on mobile while I walk the dog - bad habit I need to stop
    • Make cookies/hobnobs
    • Not go to Mr Ts until tomorrow - always go on Saturday so stretching stuff out to Sunday (no problem, there's plenty in) and then stick to the list I've already written
    • Walk dog again (he's already been out for an hour today) at tea time for more free exercise!
    That's enough for today!

Morning all, i have a shock announcememt, today i am only doing a tiny list!! I am having a bit of a day off and so i started with a lovely long lie in, at least it meant the heating was off!

    So today's miniture list is:
    -Have looked for mystery shops
-Have done some of case studies for counselling assignment

-Need to work through as many of case studies as poss before going out, only got a week to do a five thousand word assignment! Needs to be handed in on Wed!!
    -Will sort through emails
    -Will do any surveys

    -Will do daily clicks
-Design some more advertising material for my business
    -Work on nvq homework
-Go to friends to catch up with her, instead of meeting her in town and going shopping
-Will do some baking with her and eat some of it, so nice and cheap
-Will organise with her, a massage treatment for next week

-Will sort out advertising material and equipment for tonight and load up the car for tonight's pamper party
-Sort out mini consultation form for tonight
-Go to pamper party and do some massages which i will get paid for and then hand out some of my advertising material
-Will take some boose thats been in the cupboard for ages and really needs using up

Think thats it for me today, everyone have a great Saturday.

Kalojak, the driving is going ok thanks for asking. I still make the odd mistake but i'm mainly just getting so fed up with cars being right up the back of me or just going even if it is my right of way. I think the novelty of being able to drive has certainly worn off!!
