The youngun wants an inkjet for his schoolwork (I'ts gotta be colour dad - not in my day son etc).
Can you recommend a reasonable quality Epson which will accept compatible cartriges? Even better if it's not the latest model and still available with a discount.
Thanks
Allan
Allan, there are loads around but a quick search gives:
these from around £30
If he just wants to print documents then as long as its colour it will be fine. If he wants photos then he really should look at the Epson Photo range and the more DPI (dots per inch) the better the pic. If he wants to print, copy and scan, there are some great deals from £53. This is without any discounts, so you may have to pick the model and then search around.
Check with https://www.northdevoncomputers.com that they stock the cartridge and that its one of the cheap ones before you order the printer.
The ink is where most people go wrong. They see a great Lexmark printer for next to nothing then end up not using it as the ink is so expensive.
Good luck, you wont go wrong with an Epson, cheap ink and Tescos value paper!! :T0 -
I have been very tempted by this printer in the past. Not sure about this one, I have lifted the lid and there appear to be ink tanks, not cartridges. Therefore can you fill up with aftermarket ink from the bottle???0

Im not sure where your buying your ink from for this printer, BUT
I have the same printer, its great, cant fault it. I just recently ordered a full set of ink and here are your prices:
