Free 2GB Creative Zen V MP3 Player when signing up for Napster to Go

You have to commit to 6 months at £14.95 per month, but it's well worth it IMO. I've been a happy regular Napster Subscriber for 3 years now, so this was a no brainer for me :)

  • Sorry, that saying, no brainer really bugs me, its one of those everyone hears and jumps on like 'so not'.
Is it worth it if you dont subscribe. Whats the RRP?

I'm actually not completely sure if it's the Zen V or the Zen V+, the regular V is £39.95 at Amazon, the V+ IS £54.95.

Not even a half decent deal IMO.

Not bad, but you have to ask yourself, unless you are planning on download 6 million tracks each month, is it really worth paying £14.95/month?

I use a legal download site that only charges 15 cents (US) per track, and you get a 10% discount if you download the entire album, which is good for me as I don't download music that often and I CBA going to the shops to buy a CD single for like £2.00 or whatever.

Any chance of sharing the name of the site with us?

    Thanks.

I can promise you that whatever site you are talking about is guaranteed to be illegal.
  • I joined Napster-to-go well over a year ago (the offer was then for Sandisk mp3 player which my daughter still uses)

On Napster-to-go you can have up to 3 MP3 players registered so I bought 2 re-furbed Creatives from the Creative site for just over £20 each.

Which means all 3 of us can have our own music (and we all download at least 4 albums each per month) so for £14.95 we found it excellent value for money. I also really like their suggested playlists and have found some excellent music from them that I would normally have not listened to.

But I suppose its horses for courses - unless you are going to get the most use out of it, it could be cheaper just downloading (and paying for) the tracks you want.

Some of you are hard to please  As soon2bjobless correctly said, it of course depends on you and your needs whether it is a good deal or not. For me it is, for some of you it may not be - but I'm glad I passed it on. You're welcome ;)

So mine arrived this morning, it is indeed the 2GB version with video playback and everything. I've transferred some music to it and it's a fantastic little player, very pleased indeed :)
  • I think they are smashing wee players - Creative has its own podcast site too - http://www.zencast.com/ -

Never had any probs with my 2 re-furbs and thats been over a year of solid use.
