Mrs kaya works for a large loan company, the rule is that they must all be at there desks 10 mins before there contracted start time, 500 empoyees all giving an extra 10 mins a day, thats 83 hours of free labour a day, like having 10 employees working for free every day0

I can believe this.
What I am noticing at the moment across the various job threads is there is one heck of a lot of "try on" stuff coming up at the moment from employers.
Now - I do see exactly where they are coming from as to why this seems to be making an appearance increasingly these days.
BUT......it is NOT on. "You want it...you pay for it" has GOT to be the message that goes back.
Can I please please urge all employees everywhere at the moment to make sure you are as "safeguarded" as possible....so make sure you are as clear as you can possibly be from mortgages and debts, you have a bit of savings (but dont forget the D.W.P. limit - which I think is currently £6,000) and as well-informed as you can possibly be about employee rights.
Employees are under attack basically - not to put too fine a point upon it - from employers trying to cut pay and/or worsen conditions in every way they can possibly think of. Be aware - and do what you can to safeguard yourself.
Dont hate them for it - you know why they are doing this - but safeguard yourself as much as you possibly can from it. Cut the consumer spending and spend/save every single penny safeguarding yourself as much as you can.0
