I am in a quandry - do I take the train to the NEC or do I drive? Now I don't particularly like driving and havent driven on a motorway for ages so I am psyching myself up for that.

Train costs £4.50 return from Longbridge Station to NEC change at New Street and the car costs whatever in petrol plus £8 parking and then there's getting into the show itself which is £14:eek:

Oh...morning peeps, just thinking out loud.

    Morning Horace

Train sounds like the best option. I go to the NEC for the clothesshow and at the end of the day when I feel like I've walked miles round that place my heart sinks (or my feet sink?) as I walk back to the car and have to drive home - I've now learnt to put comfy shoes in the car for driving home as I once drove home in just socks and its a couple of hours from Birmingham for me!

Thanks Tixy - I am already wearing comfy trainers, the sun is too bright anyway so the train will be the sensible option (truth be known I am scared stiff of trains - its the gap between the train and the platform thats scary:eek: - many a time I have fallen between the train and the platform:eek:  ).

I am kind of looking forward to going - if only for some free cake:D

Sounds like me with escalators - really scared of them - i hate London underground. Maybe you could acost a handsome man on the platform to assist you onto the train?!!:T

And a very good game it was too - with the best team winning.

I did feel sorry for Italy in the earlier game, though - they played really well, against a less than convincing Welsh side, and the final score did not reflect the game.
