I know what you mean Numpty - I can remember my own redundancy, I was called in whilst I was off with work-related stress caused by the nincompoop who was my boss and in my case I was finished there and then no notice no nothing. At least with some notice you have some breathing space and your firm should be doing everything they can to help you secure another job.

They need a kick up the bum if they are doing nowt to help you find another job. Blame our poxy government and the banks for the sorry state our country is in at the mo (I am old enough to remember when Labour were last in power and they ran this country into the ground:mad: ).

If you are looking for forklift work, I shall keep an eye out and do searches on the internet whilst I am doing my normal day to day 'work' anyway it will give me a break from doing my accounts (I hate accounts).

On a different note - it is snowing hard again here:mad: Yesterday a fair bit of the white stuff melted and left a huge ice patch in the carpark, it was as icy as f*ck when I went out this morning (desperate for a newspaper) so guess it will be dangerous underfoot tomorrow when I have to go to the dentists and to do an MS.
