2) [STRIKE]Hang up all clean clothes and put away all linens etc etc[/STRIKE]
3) [STRIKE]Tidy EVERYWHERE[/STRIKE]
4) [STRIKE]Wash the floors[/STRIKE]
5) [STRIKE]Give the bathroom a quick once over[/STRIKE]
6) [STRIKE]Go through cupboards for stuff for charity shop [/STRIKE](only done a little bit but am taking the glory anyway)
7) [STRIKE]Take out rubbish and recycling[/STRIKE]
8) [STRIKE]take stuff to the charity shop[/STRIKE] starnac said I can cross it off
9) get clothes ready for work tomorrow
10) do face mask, wax BL and have long soak in the bath
11) [STRIKE]Ironing[/STRIKE]
12) Washing up (and of course my new thing, 'shining'* my sink)
13) [STRIKE]do my shredding[/STRIKE]
14) [STRIKE]do my filing[/STRIKE]
15) arrange to go for a drink with guy that contacted me about a job

Phew, getting there slowly, also done:

16) [STRIKE]sort out sock drawer[/STRIKE] (don't underestimate the amount of socks/tights etc I have, this was a BIG job)
17) [STRIKE]hoover[/STRIKE] (forgot to put it in the first list but had to do it before I could wash the floor so didn't want to miss the chance to cross something off)

do you have someone coming over, or is it just unbearable?

I now feel that my flat is at a point where I can start flylady, it had just gone too far before and shining my sink would have been more polishing a turd than guilding a lily

Now I do have a question, I know that flylady posts on here, is that THE flylady?? She is American on her website but I haven't ever really noticed that she is American.

No don't have anyone expected over until the weekend. The place isn't actually that bad but I can see it slowly slipping if that makes sense.

I don't think the Flylady on here is "the" flylady but I may well be wrong.

Hello to everyone else. I don't seem to be getting the instant emails for this thread at the moment :mad: Will re-subscribe in a moment

Well I think I am going to book my Sydney to Melbourne flights tonight and in true MSE style am getting them for £50 each (shopping around) and also staying 1 night/2days and coming back late on the 2nd day rather than staying in a hotel. We have free accommodation when we are in Sydney (in fact we have 4 offers of accommodation so we can rotate) but we are also going to a beach resort with my brother & SIL for a few nights so need to budget for that also.

Am happy my main flights have nearly been paid for. Still no sign of OH's tax back, am starting to worry that he is not getting any even though he paid way over the odds last year. That tax back will really pay a good bit off the credit cards.

This baby will be well travelled in the womb. It better enjoy it cos I will be bringing it on staycations once it is born. The poor thing won't be going anywhere unless my finances improve!

(oh and whoever asked about what 'getting dressed to lace up shoes' meant, well I am not really sure, I think it just means getting up and getting dressed for the day ahead rather than staying in bed or slouching in yoga pants where the bum has gone baggy (guess what I am wearing today for my cleanathon the flylady thing isn't so geared towards people that work I think, personally I am going to try and adapt it a bit although I like the idea of having one thing that you always HAVE to do)
