I went to Lidl at 6pm this evening and managed to get a hands free kit, guess i was lucky. Mind you i had to asl for it and the store manager said he only only 1 more left

Lidl isn't being dishonest. Everyone knows they don't get huge stocks of their specials in. Aldi do the same thing. It's called marketing. Incidentally, did you know that it's illegal for companies to have loss leaders in Germany?

Sorry but I disagree, they know what they are doing, store staff have admitted it. Their publicity is clearly geared to give the impression that these are bargains available to satisfy numerous customers, not just a few. Certainly not only 4 per store. Its very misleading. Most people would accept that they need to be quick, but surely not that quick.
If not absolutely dishonest its unfair to attract customers and waste their time in that way.
I will still shop there because they are local to me and cheapest for a lot of things. I certainly wont be there again at opening time for bargain electrical or computer related goods. I will warn everyone I know not to bother too
