self assessment

Hi all

advice please, just about finished the dreaded tax return when it dawned on me that i might be able to claim for some of the utilities gas, phone, electric water, if i can how much, is there a percentage you can get away with? do you have to put the bills in with all your stuff just in case they investigate you???

    We would really need to know more about you to give advice on this. Are you employed or self employed? Do you use a room at home for work?

  • hi, yes self employed builder, have room at home ie office for all paperwork calls correspondence etc........
