  • Switch from ciggies to roll-ups. You'll cut that by three quarters.
Sorry, but £10 each for kids a week is way too much! Halve it until the debt is down....
    Landline is v. expensive
Groceries - try doing a weekly menu plan and then making a shopping list of exactly what you need to make just those items. I found it halved my shopping bill!

I assume that you get mileage? Do you make sure that you claim rigourously for this?

Am not going to go on about the smoking but your food bills, telephone and utilities are very high. You have to stop the kids using the phone outside evenings and weekends.

Go over to the money saving old style forum and read up on some of the threads there. Weelz is amazing and an OP had a thread on feeding the famliy for £20 a month recently, actually supplemented by quite a bit in the freezer and store cupboard, but .....

Either start by menu planning and going down a brand and aim for a slow reduction, or take the plunge and start by listing the contents of your fridge and freezer and cupboards and do a Store cupboard Challenge, to see how long you can feed everyone with minimal shopping (bread, milk and veggies). That alone could make a hefty dent in your OD in one month.
