Have you been affected by Northern Rock's repossessions?

Five News is doing a story about Northern Rock repossessing a far higher number of houses than the other lenders.
They would love to interview a MoneySaver who has been personally affected. They would like to arrange a pre-recorded interview with them today.
Whilst the areas around London or Newcastle would work – if someone else in another area who will talk about it, then they can try and make that work.
If you’d like to share how you’re affected, please call Emma on 020 7800 2736 or 0797 417 6628.

Sorry thankfully not affected by repossession (yet).
Linked to this story it would be good if the newscasters could pick up on the fact that NR's Standard Variable Rate of interest (on which a large number of people are currently or soon to be stuck (because they cannot get a new mortgage elsewhere) is around 1% higher than the average major lenders. In response to the Bank of England interest rate cut of 0.5% they passed on a measly 0.15%. No wonder their repossessions rate is higher. NR is seemingly screwing existing customers who are unable to leave for every penny so that the new bosses can continue to pat themselves on the back as to how quickly they are paying off their Government loan.
See thread on this subject and petition just beginning to gain momentum at http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/nr-rate-cuts/.0 -
Have signed the petition!!
NR are despicable. And if the govenment have the majority shareholding then they are equally as bad! I utterly condemn the unscrupulous behaviour of this bank!!
Yes - I'm a NR customer, out of 'deal' stuck on SVR until at least January. We won't be repossessed, however, the whole thing stinks!!!
Good luck and hope they find someones plight to highlight - maybe that will be the eye opener!0
