Credit History

I hope that someone could give me some more information about the Credit Report.
I was stupid enough to sign up for Book's Direct to get some free books, however later on they sent me some more books which I did not order and sent me an invoice for £11. Obviously I didn't agreed to pay and found it rather hilarious if they wanted to take me into court with that bill.
Recently I applied for an overdraft but it was refused due to my bad credit report so I now realised that I have ruined my credit history for that silly £11.
Does anyone know if I pay that invoice now whether it helps to improve my credit score, or the damage is done?
Cheers

ooops, you slid down the pages there!
Are you sure it is just this £11? And yes the Book People can make a fuss about this - I've heard of threatening letters for debts less than that!
Your best bet is to sign up for a free credit report - only this time remember to cancel when your free trial is up :money:
(If you sign up to Experian through Quidco you can even get £7 cashback
)
There may be an error on your report, there may be some unrmembered debt, you're better off knowing.
Good luck0 -
Did you not send the books back though?, if you decided to keep the books then obviously you needed to pay for them, even if you pay now, if they have marked your credit file, there is nothing you can do to get this removed, you need to check your credit file to see what if anything has been registered on thereAug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
