Cheap Shaving Oil

Anyone who has bought shaving oil loves it for the great shave it gives you but hates it equally for the cost, typically 3GBP/15ml.

I found that using grape seed oil gives you exactly the same if not better quality of shave. It is almost odourless and if you want to add anything then try the various aromatherapy oils if you want to. I've used a couple of drops of citronella and it's OK. You'd have to experiment yourself with other oils in case it irritates your skin.

Grape seed oil is 3GBP/100ml at Holland and Barrets.

thanks for that. DH loves his King of Shaves and I've tried him on cheaper stuff before, but its no fun having a sore face so I don't want to be too mean with him! I'll give the oil a go. If he doesn't like it I'm sure it will get used for other things. I'm guessing it's edible?
