Everyone who wrote they spent nothing, think about it did you really spend nothing?
You may have bought your weekly shop a day or two ago but if you eat the food today that’s money you have spent for today. Electricity, rent, water etc.. we may only see the bills on a weekly or monthly basis, but really we are paying out a percentage for today.

If you left the heating on drove to work ate a packed lunch and drove home, then watched Sky had a hot bath and a ready meal from the fridge for dinner, this has all cost you money!
Sorry to get tedious but if you want to save even more money you need to look at the bigger picture and where you could cut down in these areas

The problem is though that this is could go on forever!! I used a pen yesterday to enter some competitions - that ink cost money. I wrapped some Christmas presents - that sellotape, wrapping paper etc cost money.

I think people are thinking more of what they actually parted cash for on any given day. It's just a way to make people stop and think about whether they need to buy that magazine or get a takeaway etc.

I'm sure most of the posters on here realise that, and many will have got their gas and elec etc as cheap as poss already, and rent there isn't much flexibility on. On occasions people have posted that they have saved money by switching such things. However this thread focuses on truly discretionary spending and seems to help a lot of people who post on it regularly so I don't see that it's a problem to leave it as it is.
Yesterday is today's memories, tomorrow is today's dreams :)

We are all quite aware of the bigger picture thanks very much, hence why we post on the "debt free wannabe" board!! Doh!!

I am debt free now, and others are repaying their debt @ swift rates, we are a bit more clued up than you're giving us credit for, thanks very much!!
