Yesterday for the first time in about two years I took an item back to Tescos (computer mouse which wouldnt squeak:D ) only 2 months old, the CS girl said get a replacement,so far so good, none on shelves so I then asked for a refund as the other ones were £6 more.
Certainly she said payment card and clubcard!!
She then took 14 points off my card!!
I am not complaining as she technically correct, but has anybody else had this happen to them or is it just a sign of the times. I am sure they never used to do it in the past, but as always somebody might know better. If this is a new policy then Mr T is getting as tight as that well known pink porker.

That is pathetic. I can understand it when you change your mind about a purchase, but when a product is faulty like yours then in my opinion they should be giving you extra points - to compensate for your time and travel returning it to the store!!!0 -
lol seems fair enough, dont get something for nothing these days...
JOCJo2 - not tesco's fault the mouse broke, i doubt they manufacture them, i think we have to expect to pay to return an item every now and again.0 -
If they didn't do this, then people would just abuse the system and buy things with bonus points only to take them back but retain the points. I think its fair and to be expected.0
