In an emergency you can balance the mop and sweeping brush across each other over the bath.0

on trays over the bath? or those grids designed for chips in the oven? and I am sure either kleeneze or betterware do those mesh ones for 'dry flat' clothes. or I could be thinking of Lakeland.0

I'm reading this thread with interest as we are thinking of moving in to a retirement flat at some stage.
At the moment I dry everything over the bath on A shaped airers. I have a big one and a small one which with a couple of towels over sits across the bath and makes a good drying space for a flat jumper. The big one will lie flat across the bath and take two jumpers but in the winter it is in daily use as hanging space.
However in a retirement flat it is hardly likely that there will be a bath, just a shower. I was thinking I'd try to source an airer that incorporates a flat drying rack and as space would be at a premium, probably stand it in the shower cubicle.

I dry on the sloping rails of my airer, they are just tiered.
If it's fine, I lay jumpers across a number of lines on my rotary drier.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I would hang it on a coat hanger on a door and shape it with my hands as it driesHave a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T0

I use one of these:

But I keep it up permanently, I'm not sure how easy it would be to fold up to put away.0 -
I have two of the special jumper driers but more often than not end up drying woollens on a towel draped over the upstairs banister. Admittedly this doesn't really meet the definition of drying flat, but nothing has ever come to harm.
Of course, if you live in a bungalow or a flat you won't have this option.0 -
I flat dry jumpers on my living room table. I first put a large towel down and then the garment.0
