I dont think you'll find anything close at that rate with an offset facility Im afraid. If you still want the offset then FD might still be the best bet with their standard SVR rate offset, which is still pretty competitive at 5.5% with only a small fee.
The thing is though, with a £30k mortgage, rate isn't the be-all and end-all in the scheme of things as it's likely to be only be a difference of a few quid a month, especially if you can offset some of it.My Excel Mortgage Calculator Spreadsheet: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=11571730 -
Agreed. It would be lunacy for me to pay any kind of fee just to achieve a lower rate, for the difference it would make in repayments would be far outweighed by the fee (...I think!)
Ah well, maybe some new offers will come along in the next few weeks? Here's hoping...SKIPS STONES FOR FUDGE0 -
How things change. I am reading this thread as I have a 5 year fix with FD at 5.29% which expires in May 2013.
I have been getting 6.5% on a LTSB fixed cash ISA (£50K) which matures in April. I have the choice of fixing for a further year at 3.75% or closing ISA and moving to offset savings.
I can't decide what to do ! I calculate nearly £1000 p.a. in interest.0
