I didn't realise that the firm you return your lease car to can charge you HUGE amounts of money for any damage~ even minor scuffs and scratches! I found a firm that checked my car over (for a fee) and did the work heaps cheaper!

So, how did you think it works? you get a brand new car for which you pay x amount of money over the lease period and then you return it, but they sell it for much less then Price of the car-your payments thanks to the damage and they just take a hit? How would they make a money?
Second thing to be careful about is mileage - most companies sign you for limited mileage and charge you if you go over - for exactly the same reason.0 -
It's in the small print of the lease agreement (though never actually mentioned by the salesman) - you are allowed x number of dinks up to a certain size etc but they do try it on. When it happend to me I got the supplying garage to intervene on my behalf with the finance company - they got 70% knocked off of the joke amount being demanded - which brought it down to what I considered was a fair amount. Having said that, the garage only got involved because I was getting another car through them and I was hinting that I might back out of the deal. How much? You're having a laugh!0
