Amazon Newbie - help please

in Shop but don't drop
I want to buy a watch for my boyfriend for christmas. Having searched for watches on Amazon it showed the one I want, I then clicked on it and the watch comes from another website...https://www.watchesshop.com......and I am wondering as I have never used Amazon before, am I buying the watch from Amazon or the watch website? And do I have to go on the watch website to buy it or can I add it to my basket on Amazon??
I am totally confused by the whole Amazon thing!! :confused:

    Not 100% sure myself but i have been told that the free delivery with Amazon (currently £15 or above but changing to £5) does not include if it comes from another site.

    I think you still add to Amazon basket but may not qualify for free postage so check checkout before confirming

    Sound like its a third party seller in Amazon market place.

    EDIT: You are buying from the watch shop via Amazon. Amazon will take the payment and pass it onto the watch shop. You won't get free delivery as far as I know unless the seller offers it. Amazon acts like a shop front to give the watch shop more customers.

    So when I buy the watch, if there are any problems do I contact Amazon or the watch shop? If it is on Amazon is it usually trustworthy? I worry a bit when ordering things online and just don't want to be ripped off :o
