Why wont they give me the address

I want to reduce my payments by a small amount for the next 6 months with HSBC as i'm between jobs and working for a temp agency , i have never missed payments but when i ring the bank up they wont give me the address to write too , they say they will get some other department to contact me .And they keep not doing
They also say if i just send it to the head office it will get lost and not seen too
What shall i do ? Does anyone has the right deapartments address as this is Thankyou so much for reading
