abbey svr

hi everyone,just a quickie...does anyone know that if the boe cuts base rates does this bring down the standard variable rate....currently with abbey but due to come off our tie in,

    The banks look at the BOE base rates when they decide what their variable rate will be, but there is no direct connection - so if the Bank of England cuts its rate, Abbey will probably follow, but there is no saying exactly when or what change it would make. If you ask on the mortgages board I'm sure someone there will be able to tell you more about Abbey's mortgages.
