Can i recommend this business seller on Ebay where you can get the wide plate GHDs for a fantastic price and they are genuine complete with guarantee (my boyfriend bought them for my birthday):

Am i right in thinking that ghd's only have one heat setting? MEGA HOT!
This has put me off buying them as you dont always need the temperature that high- cant be good for your hair.
When i am 'flashing over' my hair if I have straightened it properly the day before or if doing my fringe I usually have the heat lower.:happylove

I find the really good thing about ghds over other straighteners is you don't ever need to straighten it a second time as your hair holds its shape. My hair is really unruly so I invested in a pair and was amazed at the holding power!;)

I've heard too many stories about GHDs breaking, mostly as soon as the guarantee runs out.
Check out online reviews for the Babyliss Pro 230 straighteners. Ever bit as good as GHDs, variable temperature and a hec of a lot cheaper. Retail price is about £60 but Amazon are doing them for £29.49 at the minute with free delivery.

I've had mine over 2 years with no problems. In fact I might just order myself another set for when mine finally go to straightener heaven!Norn Iron Club Member 330

I bought my GHDs from Lookfantastic about 3 months ago - £95 roughly with free delivery and free GHD shampoo and conditioner. They came very quickly and I have used Lookfantastic many times before - they are great and very safe and reliable.0
