I learned with Ian's School of Motoring last year and passed first time. But they do have a lot of instructors working for them and it can be hit and miss on whether you get a good one. I was lucky and got a fantastic instructor but unfortunately can't recommend him as I believe he is no longer teaching learner drivers.0

I have had experience of Swift driving school and would advise you to avoid them. They failed to turn up on time for lessons or did not turn up at all. This was a number of years ago but unless they are under new management I would assume the situation is the same.
I do know of a very good instructor but she is in Lisburn so not sure if she provides lessons in Belfast, it's Browne's school of motoring and it's just run by one lady who takes all the lessons, very reliable and honest.0 -
Yup, I have a private instructor. Used him for all 3 kids, 2 passed 1st time one 2nd time.
He is an older man, speaks his mind! and has a dual control car.
He will put you in for the test when youre ready, he dosent hang about making you take extra lessons just for the money. he lives in easy=t Belfast as far as I know. you are welcome to pm for more details if you wish.Norn Iron Club member 4730
