Barclaycard and county court judgement - help!

I wonder if anyone can help me?
I have recently looked at my credit file only to find a default from Barclaycard. I have tried calling Barclaycard who have put me through to CL Finance who have said that the debt has been passed through to their solicitors. The solicitors have told me that a county court judgement has been issued with a court order that could lead to my arrest.
The background is that I moved house almost 2 years ago and had sent them a letter advising them of my new address. As my Barclaycard had expired and I had stopped using the account I didn't think anything of it when I stopped receiving paper statements. I had a direct debit set up prior to this paying the balance off in full each month. They have claimed not to have received my letter. When I asked what the transactions were they wouldn't tell me over the phone - they said they could only let me know through the post, but I am reluctant to give them my address until this is all sorted.
As they do not have my address will they have sent court papers to my previous address? If so, do they need to be signed for by myself in order for me to give a defence?
I'm unsure what my next move should be?
Has anyone had any experience with Barclaycard or CL Finance that have been in this position before?
Any help you can give would be appreciated as I'm really worried what will happen.

the reason you are reluctant to give them your new address is because you are hoping it will go away, it will not. They can easily find your new address by doing a trace on you, or using experian. So it will come back to haunt you. Phone them give them your new address and also make a small payment over the phone to them, this will delay them sending this to court. If they get a ccj against you, tey wll probably be able to get an attachment of earnings. Sort this out before that happens.
Good luck to you x0 -
The solicitors have told me that a county court judgement has been issued with a court order that could lead to my arrest.
Well, that is a direct lie from these 'so called' solicitors.
You cannot be arrested for non payment of a credit card debt, even if there should be an outstanding county court judgement.
So I would be a tad sceptical about anything else they say if they are prepared to lie in such a blatant and deceptive way.
Do you have proof that you informed them of the change of address? If you have and a judgement exists then you would have grounds to set it aside.
Will they provide details of the judgement? The court and case/reference number? You need to verify with the court concerned that a judgement exists before you believe these solicitors if they are already proven liars.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

You have said that you stopped using the account and paid the balance off in full each month by direct debit, so where is the default from if you paid off the balance?, did you not realise that there was a balance owing still?
You say you sent a letter to inform them of your change of address but why did you not think it was strange to not have any further correspondence from them at your new address?, even if you thought your account was settled, you would have received a statement showing a nil balance at your new address if Barclaycard had had it.
You have to now face up to the fact this has caught up with you and offer to pay the balance owing or come up with a payment plan, the default will stay on your file for 6 years following it being registered and perhaps you should be a bit more careful at keeping track in the future to avoid this happening again.Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00
