Maximum Unsecured Loan?

Have never heard of it or seen it. And have been following personal finance for 2 years now. Sorry.0

I believe the £25k was lifted as part of the changes to the consumer credit act. Very few providers advertise it or offer it as standard.
I guess if you were a 'premium' customer of a major bank you could arrange one, otherwise I think most lenders would wonder why you needed so much unsecured.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

That's encouraging news. I need slightly more than £25k and I was firstly looking at a secured loan but this isn't going to be possible. I'm using the loan to fund a career change and I'm currently just short of what I need.0

I wouldhave thought you would struggle - I actually thought £20k was the highest you got, and looking at cahoot this morning (i need some for a new car) they only go to £20k.
I know that above this (for buying a car) you generally need to look at dealer finance - which of course is secured against the car.0
