I've already benefitted from 1st prize in an LA competition and I can thoroughly recommend it!
(And yes, I have entered this one too!)Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0 -

Everywhere! Do a bus tour from the Chinese Theatre around most of the main tourist spots - ticket last 24 hours so take the chance to stop off in a few places. Would definitely recommend Universal Studios and the Shrek 4D ride is brilliant :j
Rodeo Drive is surreal - loads of money on display, and there are a few reasonably priced eating places on the surrounding streets too to grab a bite to eat and earwig on some conversations!
Santa Monica was one of my favourite places too. Got the bus there from Beverly Hills for about $2.80. The pier is pretty quaint, but the real high point for me was the shops along 3rd Street there - Apple, Nike, Puma, Diesel, Adidas, Quicksilver, Roxy, Abercrombie and Fitch, just general good quality high street retailers. Much more my kind of shops than Beverly Hills!!!!
Depending upon how long you're there, but we took a day trip to San Francisco too.The flight is about 50 mins and we got return flights for about £40. If you're in LA for a week or so, I'd definitely recommend getting a trip to SF too as it's a stunning city and a world away from the bustle of LA.
I hope you love it as much as I did!!!!Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!0
