I am so embarrassed to be writing this - I am 52 years old, live in privately rented accomodation and due to two companies going into liquidation that I worked for, I find that I am now working in a temporary position and living on my overdraft and I don't seem to be able to climb out of this mire.
My overdraft is £1000.
Help please

Hi PF,
There are loads of thing you can do like post an SOA for a start to help with general cost cutting etc.
But with mine I used to go into the bank the day after pay and reduce it (I think you can phone too) by £25 a month until it had gone - I never missed the amount (choose an amount you wont miss too) over a month and it took a while but I got there in the end (mine was £2,500 and now sits at £250 which is for emergencies only).
The other thing people here do is tranfer the balance to a 0% credit card - because then you have to pay it off every month - just dont be tempted to spend on the card!0 -
Dear PF
Please don't be frightened, embarassed or worried about posting here. On the contrary you are very brave to post the way you have!
Look at the signature on my post (the bottom coloured writing) and click on the Statement Of Affairs link in blue.
This will take you to another page where you can fill in details of your income and outgoings. You must NOT be embarassed because we are all or have been in the same boat, and no matter what you put in there it won't be as bad as some others.
Once you've filled that in, post it on here (theres a MSE format option) and we'll help you the very best we can.
Don't worry - its going to be okay
