Hi, i applied for all mine through the website.
Sometimes they will e-mail you to tell you that you have been shortlisted but usually its about 3 weeks after the closing that they will send out letters.
The recruitment process may seem very drawn out and tedious with the NHS but they get litterally hundreds and hundreds of apllicants, more so if its a Maternity HCA or anything that looks like it will fit around school time.0 -
Gosh that was quick!
Wish they were that quick at our PCT0 -
Ok thanks its about 10 days since the closing date of the job that i have applied for so i bet i have not been one of the lucky ones.
Thanks again0 -
What post was it for?0

Mine is a sub division of the NHS, so not tied to a particular PCT, and IT related who tend to be quicker, hang fire you will hear back.0

Though it's a central website, the applications go to the individual employers. So it all depends on the efficiency of the particular organisation.0

The job was a receptionist and the other one a house keeper.0

I can imagine it might take that long in a large organisation like the NHS.
In an ideal world you'd have your shortlisting panel organised for immediately after the closing date, and be in touch with successful candidates VERY soon after that. But it's rarely that simple. I wouldn't despair just yet.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I applied in March this year to Plymouth PHCT, they took over a fortnight to reply by email to say I'd been shortlisted for interview and stated time and date within the email. Letter of confirmation arrived approx 5 days later.
Good Luck and wishing you every success.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. :A0
