MATSUI DVDR100 - DVD Recorder £92

Currys normally sell the MATSUI DVDR100 DVD-Recorder for £239 (no doubt a grossly inflated price having regard to comparables).
However, they are selling it for £99 (less 7.5% usual discount code = £92) if bought with a 15" LCD TV for £299 (also less 7.5% = £277). This is undoubteldy a good price for the LCD TV.
Does anyone have any info on this model ?

Hardly a fair comparison as the prices you are talking about are for the 'Trade Counter' models, about which people have posted warnings.
The price for a new model is £220 for the Beko and £120 for the Yamada = £340. This is still, admittedly, a £50 saving.
I can form my own view on the Beko as compared with a Sharp Aquos LCD TV. What I was really wondering about was the quality of the DVD recorder.0 -
Earlier in the week when I checked the LCD price it was for a brand new model and not a trade counter clearout.
They have clearly put the price back up, which is a pity, unless anyone knows where that model is being sold cheaper? when you can claim the Richer price matching offer with a further price reduction depending on the price of the product.
As regards Matsui they are made by a manufacturer and then the Matsui badge is added, for Currys. Maybe a money saver who is a techie knows which OEM manufactures them (I think this is the correct term) and look for another review of the product which has a different badge on it.
If you look at the YAMADA DVD for £19.99 in Richer you will notice it is the same design as DVD's sold in other outlets. Only the badging is different.0
