If you have a Wilkinsons near you you can pick up a 2m roll of giftwrap for 14p! (one of my rolls was 2 1/2 metres long!):j
The price isnt promotional either, its actually printed on the label as 14p!
There are 2 designs, ones is red with gold "merry christmas" written on it the other is green with gold presents on it!
Quality isnt bad either!
I couldnt find it online, it is a wilkos basics item so look out for it!
Good luck! (please thank if useful!)
Thanks
(have cross posted on T=the grabbit board aswell)

That's a great offer but I'm going to let you in on my little wrapping paper secret....
I never buy any paper but simply help myself to a few decent sized wallpaper samples from DIY shops. Some wallpapers these days are stunning and with a little bit of ribbon (which can be used again and again and again) you can make gifts look outstandingly wrapped. If you feel to cheeky to pinch 'samples' then B&M sell 50 foot rolls of a lovely black paper with a subtle silvery grey pattern for £2.99 - this will last forever but teamed with different colour ribbons you can get a different effect each time you use.
The only problem is that some (normally of the more expensive papers) have a slightly waxed finish which means that the sellotape can be a bit of a pain to stick.
I've done this trick for the last few years and no one noticed that it was wallpaper - they genuinely thought I'd bought all my gift wrap from somewhere like Harrods - as if!

what is B&M sorry had a bad day & brain is in tatters! :rotfl:0 -
B&M's is wonderful! it stands for Bargain Madness. There's quite a few in the North West. The one nearest me used to be a Glynn Webb (paint/wallpaper/light-weight DIY stuff) and I think BM has bought the chain. They are very similar to Home Bargains and totally addictive.
Website with store finder is here: http://www.bmstores.co.uk/
Hope there's one near you!

This can happen, but as i said these rolls arent that bad quality! (i expected them to be like tissue paper! there no worse than the "cheap" rolls we all buy from card shops and supermarkets for £1 or £2 every year!
And even if you buy them and there not great for adult gifts, for kids ones there great as kids dont care what its covered in!
Ive bought it for pass the parcel games aswell! cheap but cheerful!:jThe Money Saving Wannabe :j

My father trained us to unwrap everything carefully; most wrapping paper gets stuffed in our wrapping paper box and used at least five times before being thrown away, and we have some from before I was even born!
Obviously that's better for family members etc who know why you're being stingy with the paper, though. I think it's nice, because it means that new paper is extra-special when you get it, and it brings back old memories when I see some paper I last had when I was about ten.
The entirely plastic stuff is almost indestructible if you don't manage to tear it, but generally with wrapping paper it's about finding paper that doesn't rip badly when you remove tape from it. We've had some fancy paper before that has great white surface tears when you take off the tape, which is no good at all because you can only use it once or twice; paper that's fairly thick and has a glossy finish like a magazine cover tends to be the most hard-wearing.
Has anyone tried wrapping presents in cloth? I can't help thinking it'd probably be more environmentally friendly and look quite nice.

Why not try using different types of wrapping instead of the usual stuff?
What about magazine or catalogue pages - lots have beautiful pictures on that are a shame to bin. We waste far too much and could recycle paper in many ways:
Try fabric as well - can get remnants of gorgeous fabric and also can be reused several times! Can also use fabric from much loved clothes. Or look in charity shops for lovely scarves which can be used as wrapping and also as another present - no waste!
Don't forget of course: fabulous brown paper - I think it looks stunning tied with a gorgeous ribbon or raffia.
Use your children's artwork as wrap ....
Let your imagination go wild!
