Mortgage interest rates

In light of the recent cash injection into banks by the government and the reduction in the BOE base rate, is it likely that mortgage lenders will reduce their mortgage rates in the near future? My current fixed rate expires 30.11.08 but I am unsure whether to act now and secure another rate or wait and see if the market improves.

I was watching Newsnight last night and their "experts" reckon that base rates are going to go way down next year! Check a replay on BBC iplayer....0

My guess is that BOE rates will go down more than lenders rates.
So I jhave gone for a BOE tracker rather than be at the mercy of the lender.0
