Credit voucher for company in administration?

I returned some stuff to AllSports months ago and was given some credit vouchers for further purchase. Tried to use it two weeks ago but was told that the company was in administration and vouchers can no longer be accepted. They gave me the address of the administration to send a copy of the voucher - that was two weeks ago and I am yet to hear a thing back. Recently I heard that JD Sport has taken over AllSports.
What is my position? Have I seen the back of my money?
Thanks.

The administrators will have a massive task on their hands sorting out assets and creditors etc give them a little more time and chase if you don't hear anything. You don't say how much your credit note is for - i am guessing double figures.
I'm afraid you will probably be well down the pecking order when the assets and proceeds from selling the business are dispersed. If you are REALLY lucky they may offer you a similar voucher from the new owners (but they will be under no obligation to do so) - may be worth asking though - otherwise you will just get a proportional share of whtever cash they make on the old company which may be very little if anything.
I understood they were so badly off that just before closure they could not even pay their staff.
Try and find out what is going on via business pages on MSN Google etc
Good Luck

Years ago I had a voucher from Salisburys (the bag people) they went into administration and despite letters from the administrators updating me, I never saw the money again. Hope you have better luck.0

Many thanks for the advices.
The amount is about £90.
I thought if a company picks a company up from administration, it picks up all the debts?Mark Hughes' blue and white army0
