Deal or stick?? offer ending this month!

Options
I have a nationwide tracker (+0.24%) on base rate. However it finishes at the end of this month!!

I will then go onto nationwides standard variable rate.

Nationwide have offered me a new deal which is again a tracker this time +0.64% with no fee for arranging.

Do I hang on and wait for a better deal or will I be better to accept there new offer now?

Other issue I have is I want to borrow another 15k but they will charge a fee for arranging this. Even with the 15k amount borrowing will still be less than 70% of house value.

Can someone advise me??

  • You might already be too late to accept that offer, as I believe Nationwide have upped their tracker and removed the "no fees" incentive for existing customers this week :(

  • You should see asap if this offer is still open to you, I'd phone Nationwide soon and ideally the individual consultant who offered you the new deal (if you spoke to one about it) to check. It probably won't be available if like us you haven't signed anything.

We acted quickly and saw someone at Nationwide when our fixed rate ended but as we hadn't returned signed paperwork before rates were increased (and 'arrangement' fees were added) we missed out on the previous rate, so are waiting with the BMR to see what happens.
  • Nationwide told me I could accep that offer right up to the frst week in November!!
I've just signed the papers and returned them. fingers crossed!!

Will there be no better deals out there in the near future??

theres a lot of people out there that would bite your arm off for a baserate +0.64 rate (although NW changed this to +0.94 2 days ago)
