I assume though that you could connect the PVR to a DVD Recorder (through the scart) and archive anything you want to keep that way. (play it on the PVR and record the signal to your DVD-recorder).

this is what i would like to know before i buy.

there will certain programes i will want to keep forever without cluttering up the hard drive.(i dont know how much room a 1hr programe would take up)

Yes, I do. The copy looks as good as the original.
    Nice to save.

Whats the etiequette for Lidl? From what I gather, I should run and grab?
  • This looks a great deal. I know it's been asked before but how many hours could be held on a 80GB PVR?

If you run for the PVR at Lidl as soon as the doors open you will be dissappointed because it's on sale at Aldi. I've queued before for a pressure washer and it was quite civilised (at Aldi).

I have the Digifusion 80 gig & it will record around 48 hours in Broadcast quality. I use mine a lot & the most I've had on the hard drive is about Threequarter full after a holiday.
    Nice to save.

Customers behave like this everywhere if there are such great bargains to be had.

Ok, am seriously interested in one of these as an xmas present to my sister and her BF.

What's the crack then? Is it one of those where each store have a limited amount and people queue up at silly o'clock? First person to fight there way to it wins? Can I get more than one?
