10p tax saga rebate question

Below are my salary payments so far this tax year. My salary is £11.5k pa. My question is, should there have been a slight rise in the payment for September due to the tax changes after the 10p tax band saga (and subsequent "rebate")? According to what I've read people are getting an extra £10 a month?

Not enough information to tell you much, though it looks like you were not paying tax for the first three payments, but no idea why not.
To advise more really need to know the gross figure, tax paid, NI paid and tax code for each month. Also did you have any taxable income and tax paid between April 5 and the 27/05/08 payment?0 -

I didn't have any taxable income from the 5th Apr until the first payment. I'm working at a small firm and we don't get any kind of payslip so I couldn't give you a break down of my pay. As for my tax code, I also don't know. I was told by my employer that I would be paid w/o tax for a while and then the tax would kick in and my monthly take home pay would be lower.0 -
Apart from it being illegal, doesn't that worry you? Without a payslip your employer could be deducting anything and you have no way of checking you are getting paid the right amount.I'm working at a small firm and we don't get any kind of payslip so I couldn't give you a break down of my pay.

Your tax code is advised to you each year by the tax office.
If you had no taxable income before starting this job and we assume that your code was the usual 543L which would rise to 603L is September and your monthly gross was about £958 then your net pay would have been roughly
24/09/2008 BANK CREDIT 801.75 estimated net £862
29/08/2008 BANK CREDIT 801.75 estimated net £802
31/07/2008 BANK CREDIT 902.75 estimated net £802
26/06/2008 BANK CREDIT 902.75 estimated net £802
27/05/2008 BANK CREDIT 902.75 estimated net £893
and October would be about £8120
